Supporting Young female artists through collaboration work in Triumph and Amostyle was a very important part of the design team’s work.
Manami is an independent designer known for her vibrant and emotional print apparel that often tell a story. With Manami, we explored the seasonal subject matter of “Natural Magic”.
“Natural Magic” explores the ancient magic of the natural world. As Gen Z are increasingly plagued with the strains of the crumbling geo-political landscapes and economies with old establishments failing them, they seek solace in the powers of old wisdom and ritual.
The color palette is vibrant yet autumnal with chartreuse and mauve depicting a modern mysticism.
Fragrance Unlocking Memory:
Playing on the concept that memory can be triggered through scent, and the healing properties of certain floral notes, we chose certain medicinal flowers to commission Sakurai with creating unique print designs.
Each Unique print design was imagined in 2 colourways to create a total of 6 variations that eventually made up the a collection of unique embroideries.
These were used to create the lingerie portion of the collection. based on the best selling “Dream” series to offer customers 6 variations in the design, allowing for multiple purchases.
Another additional print was commissioned and printed on a 100% CO fabric for dream-like pajama sets.
