As Senior Designer for Aidan Mattox eveningwear, I was challenged to create an evening and occasion-wear line that fulfilled the needs of a bridge market with a variety of target aged customers; from Prom girls to Mother’s of the Brides. Retailing at Neiman Marcus, Saks, Bloomingdale’s and other international stores, there was always an emphasis on keeping up with the Runway and Red Carpet trends whilst maintaining a competitive price.
SPRING SUMMER 2020 COLLECTION
Trend Forecasting and Research:
Using WGSN trend forecasting and runway analysis a palette that focused on coral/ peach florals with complimentary accents of green and blue were identified. Ivory was a very dominant force, as was the navy and blush combination, which continued to be a favorite for weddings that season. Voluminous sleeves and deep V necks also made continuous appearances as well as cut outs, keyholes and revealed shoulders.
